The , popularly known as The Clery Act, requires colleges and universities to report campus crime data, support victims of violence, and publicly outline the policies and procedures they have put into place to improve campus safety.
As part of this obligation, members of the University's community who are considered to be Campus Security Authorities (CSAs) are required to report crimes for inclusion as statistics in the Annual Security Report. This must be done by institutions that participate in federal student financial aid programs, including ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½.
To comply with the Clery Act, the university publishes a crime log, regular security alerts when a known situation might put the university community at risk, and an annual security report. This information helps students, faculty and staff make informed decisions about their personal safety.
ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ encourages everyone to immediately report crimes or suspicious activity to the Division of Public Safety to help maintain the safest possible environment for students, faculty, staff and visitors.
Emergency Notifications/ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ Alerts
Emergency notifications are sent when there is confirmation of an immediate threat to the health and safety of the campus community.
Timely Warnings/Security Alerts
Security Alerts advise the campus community of a crime that:

Daily Crime Logs
The Public Safety maintains a daily crime log, which is written in an easily understood format and describes the nature of the crime, date the crime was reported, date and time the crime occurred, general location of the crime and disposition of the complaint, if known.
Crime log entries include all crimes reported to the Division of Public Safety, not just Clery Act crimes that occurred within the police patrol jurisdiction.
