Ensuring Safety Across Campus
Police provide support to the ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ community, from responding to emergencies to traffic control, patrolling to event security.
With more than 40 sworn police officers, we work to ensure the safety of our entire campus—indoors and out. Our trained officers have real-world experience that they use every day on the job.
In addition, we work closely with our neighboring police departments—University Circle, Cleveland, East Cleveland, Cleveland Heights and Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (RTA)—to act quickly and efficiently in case of an emergency.
But beyond reacting to serious events, our officers promote prevention. After all, a safe campus starts with all of us.
To help ensure the safety of our community, we offer:
- Safety programs such as self-defense, active-shooter response and more;
- Safe Ride and walking escorts to make sure you reach your destination safely;
- Emergency communications options, such as Spartan Alerts and the Spartan Safe app; and
- Myriad other resources, including bike registration, fingerprinting and lost and found.
