We’ve outlined our application process that will take you from start to finish in a few short steps.

If you are an international student or a small town rural student, approach the application process based on which student type suits you—whether you're interested in entering as a first-year student, transfer student or in the 3/2 Engineering program.

If you've applied to ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ in the previous 12 months, you can submit a and do not need to submit an application fee. If you're applying through the College Credit Plus program, review the College Credit Plus application information.

*International students should follow the same application procedures as U.S. students and also provide English translations, if applicable, for academic records and recommendations along with English language exam scores, submitted to ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ via the testing agency. 

First-Year Students

Step 1: Determine Your Eligibility

You should apply as a first-year student if you have not taken college courses after receiving your high school or secondary school diploma. If you've participated in post-secondary education or college courses while in high school, you still are considered a first-year student.

Step 3: Provide Supporting Materials

To complete your application to ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½, submit the below materials via the Common App or Coalition with Scoir by the appropriate deadline.

    •  If the application fee will place a financial hardship on your family, choose from the list of indicators on the Common Application or Coalition Application to qualify for a fee waiver.   • ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ is test-optional. For students who choose to submit SAT or ACT scores, there are three ways you can submit them. You can report your scores on the Common or Coalition Application, have your official score reports sent from the testing agency or self-report your scores on your applicant portal, which you will be given access to within two weeks of submitting your application. Enrolling students will confirm their testing with official score reports.

Applicants to Music Major
International Students
  • English translations, if applicable, for academic records and recommendations
  • English language exam score submitted to ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ via the testing agency or you can submit self-reported scores by completing the form on your applicant portal. Enrolling students will confirm their testing with official score reports.
  • We accept the following language exams and scores for non-native English speakers:
    • Duolingo English Test: 115
    • International English Language Testing System: 7
    • PTE Academic: 61
    • TOEFL iBT: 90 (including Home Edition and Paper Edition tests)
  • The English proficiency requirement can be automatically waived if you meet any of these standards:
    • Attend a school where the language of instruction is English for two years by the time of graduation
    • Score 630 or higher on the SAT Evidence-based Reading and Writing section
    • Score 26 or higher on the ACT English

Early Decision Students
  • The Early Decision Agreement is required for candidates who have chosen to apply via the binding Early Decision plan to ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ as their first-choice institution. While pursuing admission under an Early Decision plan, you may apply to other institutions, but may have only one Early Decision application pending at any time. The form must be signed by you, your counselor and a parent/guardian.
Homeschooled Students
  • If no transcript is available, provide a detailed syllabus of topics studies and books used
  • Provide at least two letters of recommendation from outside instructors or employers (in place of teacher and counselor recommendations)
Applicants to Pre-Professional Scholars Program
  • Two additional essays, completed via the Common Application or Coalition Application
  • Interview: Applicants selected as finalists are invited to ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ for a required interview in late March. Interviews are conducted with admission officers and faculty at the appropriate ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ professional school.

Transfer Student

Our admission office may, at its discretion, consider a student who meets the criteria for a transfer applicant as a first-year applicant.

If you were dismissed from another college or university, you must be eligible to return to that institution in order to be considered for admission to ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½.
Applicants to Music Major

3/2 Engineering

Step 1: Determine Your Eligibility

ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½'s 3/2 Engineering partnerships allow you to begin your studies at one of more than 50 liberal arts colleges for three years and then pursue an engineering degree at ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ for two years. You will enter ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ as a third-year engineering student. 

As a 3/2 Engineering student, you’ll graduate with a baccalaureate degree from your first college, along with a bachelor of engineering degree from ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½.

Applications are to be submitted during your third year. 

You should meet the following requirements to be eligible to complete your program at ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½:

  • Have finished mathematics, science, humanities and social science courses comparable to those offered at ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½
  • Have maintained a minimum 3.00 overall grade point average and a minimum 3.00 in mathematics and science at your liberal arts college
  • Have completed 90 semester hours, or 135 quarter hours, at the initial college
  • Be competitive for admission as a transfer student to ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½
