What to Expect
Our curriculum focuses on encouraging you to develop to your fullest capacity through individual research projects, independent studies with music education faculty members, presentations at professional conferences, and publications in music education research journals. We make every effort to plan a program based around your needs and interests while maintaining standards of musical and scholarly excellence.
We’ve even partnered with the to provide you with the resources of a leading conservatory and assist you in developing your musicianship while in our program. Upon completing our program, you will earn a music education degree approved by the Ohio Department of Higher Education and accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music.
Our program also provides generous funding for tuition waivers and graduate assistantships. Full-time admitted students who are awarded assistantships will receive a stipend in addition to the tuition waiver and student health insurance through the university. As a graduate assistant, you can support many areas of the program, including initiatives in research and music technology, ensembles and undergraduate music education courses.
