At ǿմý School of Law, you can learn to think like a lawyer in just one year. Our Master of Law program is designed to teach you how to anticipate and understand potential legal issues across industries.

This flexible program offers an accelerated schedule—and your coursework is tailored to fit your long-term goals. When you graduate, you’ll be prepared to apply a legal lens to your career, regardless of industry.

What to Expect

In our Master of Law program, you’ll gain the legal training you need to excel in your career or prepare for future studies, whether you’re a paralegal, business executive, healthcare compliance manager, social worker, software engineer or simply interested in law. Our renowned faculty will lead you through the legal framework of today’s highly regulated world, helping you build the expertise you need to make a difference.

In our program, you’ll gain the legal training you need to enhance your knowledge of the field, your credibility in your career, or bolster your credentials should you choose to pursue a Juris Doctor degree down the line. 

And, we offer specializations in criminal law; health law; international business law; intellectual law; property law; public international law; and U.S. & global legal studies.

ǿմý School of Law features nationally ranked academic centers and institutes, dedicated to shaping law and policy in specialty law areas, including international, environmental, health, business, intellectual property and public interest law. These academic centers enhance both our school and community, bringing in local, national and global leaders to the law school lectures and conferences, while offering our students internships around the world in their chosen area of study. Admission Requirements

Admission into this program is competitive—the sooner you apply, the sooner you can earn your spot. To be considered, you must have:

  • Completed application form  
  • Personal statement
  • Current resume
  • Copies of transcripts from all post-secondary educational institutions attended (with translations into English where applicable)
  • Copies of official TOEFL score or an IELTs record report (required for all students whose native language is not English—except those with a degree from an institution where English is the language of instruction)
  • Two letters of recommendation
