Recommended Reading

The Office for Diversity, Equity and Inclusive Engagement has selected the following as recommended reading. The books included here are by no means exhaustive of the scholarly work covering the landscape of diversity, equity and inclusion. Nonetheless, the titles included are among OIDEO's favorites and represent enlightening, thoughtful, sound and research-based scholarship, which challenges us all to think more critically about matters of race, social justice, equity, equality and systems that produce inequitable results in our world.

Individuals can take advantage of reading these titles to create individual and institutional change. These books can also be used as discussion tools for departments and units to create the systemic progress we seek. In addition, OIDEO engages in , workshops and programs to create change. During these sessions we often quote these books and want to make the titles and authors available to all. We look forward to continuous learning and adding to this list perpetually.
